Made for long lunches
and late nights.

Salt House is a neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar built around seasonal Australian produce. The cooking is simple and confident, the wine list is personal, and the service is warm without ceremony.

Come for a glass and a plate of oysters at the bar, or settle in for the afternoon. Either is entirely welcome.

The food

Produce first, then
very little else.

We cook with what the coast and the market give us — line-caught fish, vegetables picked days earlier, meat from growers we know by name. Plates are generous and meant for sharing, though nobody will mind if you don't.

The menu shifts each week. What stays the same is the fire, the focaccia and the oysters.

Wine & evenings

The list is short.
The pours are not.

A list built around small Australian producers — skin contact from the Adelaide Hills, chilled reds from Gippsland, a few old-world ringers — alongside classic cocktails made properly. Ask the floor team what they're drinking; they will tell you honestly.

Bar seats are kept for walk-ins every evening.

Private dining

Birthdays, long tables and the occasional quiet celebration.

Our back room seats up to 24 with its own bar, or take the whole house for 70. Set menus are written with you, matched to wine, and served family style.
